A Mentor

By Lawrie Jorgensen

Try as I might, I can not remember the first time I met Beni Wahju. It is not that it was not a memorable experience, it’s just that Beni was so welcoming, so familiar, so comfortable that there was none of that uneasy feeling that one sometimes gets when first meeting someone of Beni’s status for the first time.

It was only after I had the opportunity to work along side Beni that I really came to understand why. Beni quickly became a mentor, a confidant and a good friend. Beni had a lifetime of experience, an unparalleled network of friends and business relationships, and a positive approach to everything and everyone. Most of all he was willing to share his experience with anyone who asked his help.

Beni touched my life and made me just that little bit better for the experience and for that I feel privileged to have been counted amongst His friends.

All our love from Marina, the girls and Me.

Love

Lawrie
